Volunteer Marine Rescue Jacobs Well is conveniently located at Jacob's Well, about halfway between Brisbane's Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast's Broadwater.
The natural beauty of this large network of waterways and, via the Jumpinpin Bar, the Pacific Ocean attracts large numbers of recreational fishermen which results in VMR Jacobs Well being the busiest VMR squadron in the state.
